    At this Holy place Mother Sita had performed Pind-Daan for Raja Dashrath (her father-in-law)

    The idol here beautifully depicts Sita devi offering the pinda with sand balls of river Phalguni(now called as phalgu) & hand of King Dashrath appearing from the earth to accept the daan.

    A natural hot water spring located in Munger, Sita Kund is believed to be the place where Goddess Sita took a purifying bath after the Agni Pariksha (fire test). The thermal waters are said to have medicinal properties, and the site remains a popular destination for devotees and tourists alike.
