Tapovana , near Yesthivana, (modern Jethiana) where King Bimbisara met Lord Buddha. Hiuen Tsang took a sacred journey to the two hot water streams of Tapovana that were formed and blessed by the Buddha.
According to Hiuen Tsang, Lord Buddha bathed here and thereafter, people from all around flocked there to bathe and get rid of chronic disease. Even now, one can see people from far off places gather here to take a holy dip in these sacred springs. Tapovana has many natural hot springs and is about 20 kms south of Rajgir on the old route from Gaya Ji to Rajgir. It was one of the favorite places of Buddha.
