Gandhi Setu is a bridge built on the river Ganges in Patna, the capital of Bihar, connecting Patna with Hajipur. This bridge was constructed by the company "Gammon India Limited" which was inaugurated in the year 1982 by the then Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

Gandhi Setu is also known as Mahatma Gandhi Setu. This bridge connects the cities of the northern part with the cities of the southern part and lakhs of vehicles visit this bridge daily. Chaos and congestion have been a daily affair on this bridge in the form of heavy traffic and long jams, resulting in a dilapidated upper surface of the bridge. In the year 2017, the current Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ordered the repair work of Gandhi Setu and since then the work of restoration of the bridge has started.

Gandhi Setu is the boundary mark of Patna city and if you are going to any city from north to south direction then must use this bridge route.
