Three kilometers east of Takhat Sri Harmandir Sahib Ji Patna, in Dhaulpura on the Patna – Fatwah Road, is the beautiful Gurudwara Guru ka Bagh. Surrounded by a green landscape with a Sarovar (lake) in front, the shrine is an oasis of spiritual comfort and was built in the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur had halted on his return from his missionary tour of the East. His only presence in the bagh (garden) had miraculously transformed the withered grounds into a lust garden, which its owners Nawab Rahim Baksh and Nawab Karim Baksh had gifted to the Guru and named it Guru Ka Bagh.
It is believed that the garden belongs to the two brothers of Noble lineage – Nawab Rahim Baksh and Nawab Karim Baksh. The garden was once a verdant bagh that was the pride of the brothers.
