Chandi Sthan Temple located in Saharsa is one of the major Shaktipeeth of the country, dedicated to Goddess Shakti. It is said that the temple is thousands of years old and Maa Chandi herself had incarnated here. The history of this temple is related to the Mahabharata period, when the Pandavas were in exile, they stayed here and worshiped Mother Chandi.
