PitraPaksh Mela, 2026: Through the Lens of an Influencer

 

Competition Guidelines:

1. Introduction

“Pitrapaksh Mela 2026 – From an Influencer’s Perspective” is an influencer competition organized to promote the cultural, spiritual, and tourism significance of Pitrapaksh Mela, which will be held from 25 September to 10 October 2026.

The competition invites influencers to create and submit videos/reels showcasing the traditions, rituals, cultural heritage, and tourism attractions associated with Pitrapaksh Mela and Gaya. The initiative aims to increase awareness of the festival and Bihar's spiritual and cultural heritage among audiences across India and abroad.

2. Eligibility Criteria

  •  Indian citizens aged 18 years or above can participate.

  • Participants must have an active social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), or YouTube.

  • A minimum of 25,000 followers is required on at least one social media platform.

  • Participants must provide valid identification and contact details during submission.

  • Content must be factually accurate, relevant to Pitrapaksh Mela 2026, and comply with the competition guidelines.

  • Videos should be in HD quality, with a file size between 100 MB and 1 GB, and must be geotagged.

  • Each participant can submit one video/reel related to Pitrapaksh Mela 2026.

  • The video should have a minimum duration of 30 seconds and a maximum duration of 2 minutes.

3. Process to Participate in the Competition

  • All entries must be sent via Google Forms. The submission link will be provided on the department's official website: https://tourism.bihar.gov.in/.

  • Participants need to provide:
    (a) - Name and address
    (b) - Date of birth
    (c) - Contact details/mobile number
    (d) - Valid identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving Licence, Voter ID, etc.

4. Content Restrictions

  • Not contain objectionable or controversial content

  • Not display people's faces, watermarks, or other identifying marks.

  • Not violate any third-party rights.

  • Not use AI-generated content. Use of AI in the submitted video will make the entry ineligible.

5. Judging Criteria

Submitted videos will be evaluated by a judging panel. The winning videos will be posted on the Bihar Tourism Department's social media handles and will be evaluated based on:

  • Video Reach
  • Video Watch Time
  • Number of Shares
  • For X (Twitter), retweets will be considered as shares.

If two participants receive equal scores, the participant whose video reaches the maximum number of people will be declared the winner.

6. Usage Rights & Final Decision

The Bihar Tourism Department will have the right to use, reproduce, and publish the submitted videos without requiring additional permission from participants, including for promotional purposes.

All decisions related to the competition will be taken by the Tourism Department and will be considered final. Any dispute related to the competition will also be resolved by the department.
