    Metal craft

    Metal craft is one of the most ancient crafts of the Bihar state. This includes manufacturing of various utility and decorative products made of Gold, Silver, Brass, Zinc, and Ashtadhatu metals

    Gold and Silver metal are widely used for the manufacturing of jewellery items. The jewellery items of Silver manufactured in Munger and Banka district of Bihar are much in demand in the various parts of the country. Brass and Ashtadhatu metals are used for the manufacturing of the idols of various Hindu deities. Bettiah, West Champaran and Vaishali are famous for the manufacturing of metal idols. The metal works of copper, brass, and bell metal are famous products. The craftsmen of Bihar used three different techniques namely last wax method, Repose and Dhokra for the manufacturing of various metal items.
