Darbhanga is a city which is embellished with many rambling forts, palaces and Anand Bagh Palace is one of them. It is one of the favourite tourist spots which is among the city’s iconic monuments. Anand Bagh Palace (also known as LakshmiVilas Palace) is a palace situated in town of Darbhanga in the Indian state of Bihar. Anand Bagh Palace was constructed during the reign of Maharaja Lakshmeshwar Singh in the 1880s and was severely damaged during the 1934 Nepal–Bihar earthquake. It was rebuilt thereafter.

The palace reflects the Mithila culture with spectacular architectural works on the walls. The inner and outer structure of the palace is eye catching.  

Anand Bagh Palace has drawn the attention of numerous tourists and is surely a must visit place of Darbhanga.
